April 2013

It's been some time since we updated our blog.  We've just had a wonderful experience listening to conference.  We attended the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Arizona Temple.  It's been a tradition.  We have been to Hawaii the Big Island in January with Rick's work and saw the splendor of lava flowing into the ocean.  The beauties of the Earth's creations were certainly seen.  We had trips to Utah to get visits with those in Utah.  My daughter's met at Jana's in San Antonio for two of their birthdays.  We laughed and shopped and enjoyed our visit.  I flew home with Rachelle to Seattle and met Rick for a visit with them.  We saw granddaughters' swim and play basketball.  It made for a fabulous spring break.  We came back and put our garden in and then realized we needed a rest from all our travels.

Some fabulous news came to light as we are getting 5 new grandchildren in the next 6 months.  We currently have 17 grandchildren and will increase to 22.  Currently we know that 2 are boys and l will be a girl.  This makes it 11 boys and 9 girls...we'll see if we tie it up or the boys stay ahead.  We are excited for their families and healthy babies.  We have enjoyed our posterity.

Liverpool Dock - Rick's Sibling Trip

We went to Liverpool to view the docks where the first Saints left. We toured the museum of Liverpool and the Beatles. We saw an amazing Anglican church with beautiful stained glass windows. It was a great time with Rick's two brothers and their wives. We finished with 2 days in London seeing history and countryside that was beautiful.

Trip to England

We had just attended the Preston England Temple and were looking out from the Stake Center over the valley.

Summer Travels

We have a summer schedule that will allow us to see all of our children except Travis. We have yet to get down to the Caribbean. With children and grandchildren from Washington, D.C. to Seattle, Washington we've got quite the miles to travel. It is fun to reconnect with our grandkids instead of just skype. We will hit the Utah group in June and follow the kids to California for some fun in the sun. We have finally got a return home date for Kevin on Sept. 7th. We're looking forward to his return. I was a little cold in Washington, D.C. and it's really cold to me and rainy in Seattle. I'm in for a real shock when I return to Gilbert and the 100 plus weather. Life is never dull with us and we look forward to making some great memories with the family this summer.

Visits to Kids

October brought us traveling to see Rachelle up in Seattle. What a fun trip we took with them over to Victoria. We had fun riding the ferry and staying there overnight. We were amazed at the scenery and fun we had with the girls. We had a terrific end to my fall break as we flew to meet Rick's siblings in St. George. We saw a play, experienced games and memories to last us through the year. We went the next week up to Utah to see Stacey, Travis and Bryan's families and attend a BYU game. We got to celebrate little Claire and Raylee's birthdays. We took my dad with us to see the Utahans. We feel it's time to stay home for a few weeks. We love getting to strengthen family bonds even though we are miles apart.
